On May 20–21, ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ welcomed Sir Harry Bhadeshia, newly appointed member of the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ Board of Trustees, for an official university visit.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize Sir Harry with the university’s internal structure, academic environment, and ongoing institutional initiatives. During his time at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, he met with university leadership, faculty members, staff, and students to gain deeper insight into the university’s educational mission, interdisciplinary approach, and international academic community.

An important focus of the visit was the discussion surrounding the future development of a pioneering Master’s program in Machine Learning at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ. Sir Harry shared his vision for the program, emphasizing that machine learning should extend beyond the boundaries of computer science and become an interdisciplinary field connecting technology with science, engineering, education, and broader societal challenges.

Throughout the visit, Sir Harry engaged in conversations with faculty and university representatives regarding academic innovation, research collaboration, and opportunities for expanding international partnerships and graduate education at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ.
