On March 31, 2026, faculty members of the Environmental Science and Climate Studies (ESCS) Department at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ — Sagynbek Orunbaev and Baktyiar Asanov — held a productive meeting with representatives from the International Water Management Institute.

The IWMI delegation included leading experts: Shavkat Kenjabaev, Zafar Gafurov, Bunyod Holmatov, and Botirjon Abdurakhmanov, who is also involved as a consultant in the Hydro4U project.

During the meeting, participants discussed opportunities for strengthening collaboration in the field of sustainable water resource management in Central Asia. Key areas of discussion included joint research initiatives, knowledge exchange, and integration of ongoing regional projects such as WeAct, Hydro4U, and ISTC-related activities.
